Good turnout for first Taste of Ideal

Thanks to everyone who came to Ideal Green Market yesterday evening to attend our first annual 'Taste of Ideal'.

It was a great turnout with curious tasters arriving before 6:00 pm with 25 inside by 6:05. I think we saw 50 guests before the evening was over. We enjoyed showing samples of the Azure Standard products as well as hot and cold small bite samples to taste. There were cheese and crackers, soups and muffins. I brought a lentils and rice dish called mujadara, a traditional Middle Eastern dish. it was the first time I'd tried this recipe. Happily, it was well received. Here is the online recipe I followed. I made some substitutions but this is a recipe I want to try again soon. Everyone commented on the warm spices. I think harvest time is in the air!
