Connecting to our community at Back to Basics

Had a great day at the Back To Basics Event last Sat. Jan. 23rd. Met lots of people who are thrilled the new food co-op is open for business in Ideal Corners. We sold 42 packs of Seed Savers Exchange seeds. Everyone is looking forward to the next growing season!

Thank you to Happy Dancing Turtle and Pine River-Backus Community Education for hosting another successful event.

This week's Volunteer schedule

Good day Co-op Volunteers! Hope you had a great weekend enjoying the sunshine and warmer temps!

This week we have 2 deliveries, one Tuesday between 11am-1pm (fresh produce), and one Wednesday between 9am-11am.

TUESDAY: Barb will be here to receive order, additional help to process would be great!

  • Asparagus! (it's pricey $12.29/lb) but OH, what a treat! (good for kidney and liver detox, high fiber, folic acid, iron, B vitamins, and more!)
  • VINE TOMATOES - $5.97/lb
  • Parsnips - great fiber source and phyto-nutrients
  • Arugula - very high nitrate levels (more than 250 mg/100 g). High intakes of dietary nitrate have been shown to lower blood pressure, reduce the amount of oxygen needed during exercise and enhance athletic performance
